History Since 2016, Fundación Malecón 2000 implemented an extensive plan to Reactivate the Malecon del Salado. Part of the children's and family entertainment were the priority. This 2017 came the final part of this project, with the creation of a new meeting point for citizens and tourists.   Description LA BOTA, whose name comes for two reasons: firstly because the area visually, geographically looks like a big boot, and secondly in artistic terms, boots are accessories used constantly in the theater.   This new place in Guayaquil, located on a platform of 6,000 m2, has gathered from June to the best exponents of microtheatre, theater, stand up comedy, art, sculpture, dance, plastic arts, music among other artistic and cultural genres.   La Bota plans to become a cultural and artistic reference for young and old. It has 5 spaces:   EXPLANADA LA BOTA: A space to exhibit and share in itinerant exhibitions like "tienditas" variety of merchandise, food and any other type of novel and interesting topics to visitors, in addition to this we seek to help foster the work of small and medium entrepreneurs.   LA BOTA TERRACE: At the top, there will be a space for musical activities, films, concerts, to promote new artistic talents, exhibitions, etc.   SALA LA BOTA: It is a multi-use room equipped for all kinds of exhibitions and presentations, which also has adaptable and movable modules that adjust to the amount of people, depending on the activity to be presented. It will have a programming in fringes: Prime, Noctámbulo and Infantil.   MICROTEATRO GYE: El Salado will be the headquarters of MicroteatroGye, where Jaime Tamariz will bring the best of the micro theater in 6 rooms where he will present his works. Each one will last approximately 15 minutes and at a cost of $ 5 per work. It will also count on gastronomic service and exhibition of scenery and props of his works more taquilleras. Micro Theater Gye will accommodate up to 120 people.   "LAS TABLAS" STAND UP COMEDY: In the space called "Las Tablas", Francisco Pinoargotti will have a varied program with Night-shows, dinner-shows, monologues and children's shows. There will also be space for snacks and drinks. Las Tablas will have capacity for 100 people.
